Dr. Espinosa's Profile
Dr. Ricardo Espinosa is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry
having received his doctorate degree in optometry in 1967. He has over 30 years
experience caring for his patients in the Metropolitan Los Angeles area. Dr.
Espinosa's interest and knowledge in the field of refractive surgery as well as general
therapeutic optometry, has earned him the distinction of becoming a credentialed member of
a select group of doctors of the Laser Eye Network (EYENET) Panel of Doctors.
The credentialing was established by EYENET, a national organization devoted to Laser
Vision Correction, as part of an on-going post-graduate educational program for practicing
optometrists and ophthalmologists. As a result of his experience and expertise, Dr.
Espinosa was appointed Co-Western Regional Director of EYENET between
1997-2000. He is now the Director of the Espinosa Optometric Eye Center.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a
therapeutically certified optometrist in the State of California. Dr. Espinosa
has taught other doctors the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care and
management of the refractive surgery patient.
